Starting with a good plumbing design is key for both functionality and servicing.
A constant and reliable hot and cold water flow to all fittings and fixtures is paramount for everyday use and to avoid any unnecessary interruption to normal building function when servicing. A repair should be able to be carried out in one area without effecting another. Hospitals and Aged Care Facilities are busy places and a problem with either hot or cold running water can create stress to the elderly and the care givers alike. Temperatures need to be spot-on for hygiene in the kitchen, laundry and sluice rooms and likewise bathrooms, and so as to avoid scolding of elderly’s tender skin.
When servicing we like to be quiet and respectful as it may be a place of learning, a place of business, or for many, it is their home.
